So, here is the sewing technology:
1. Mark the pocket entrance. It must be narrower than the welt! Reinforce the pocket entrance with fusible on the wrong side, go beyond the pocket frame at 1 cm. Reinforce the welt with fusible.
2. Stitch the welt on the edges, stitch up to the seam allowance.
3. Cut the seam allowances. Turn on the right side. Press.
4. Stitch the welt onto the pocket entrance line.
5. Stitch the pocket lining onto the other pocket entrance line. The stitch must be 0,5 cm shorter at the ends.
6. Stitch the pocket lining and the welt together.
7. Cut the pocket entrance, stop at 1 mm at the corners.
8. Turn the pocket to the other side. Stitch the pocket linings together, finish the edge.
9. Stitch the welt ends onto the garment (the corners face one another under the welt).
Voila! Your welt pocket is ready!
