Use the Test Square to adjust the print scale! A test square for checking the A4 scale is located on the first sheet of the A4 pattern file. The test square for checking the plotter scale is located on the pattern sheet in the plotter file.


Mackintosh coat pattern for men.  It’s a relaxed fit straight silhouette mackintosh coat lower-the-knee length with warmth-keeping lining. Front has central combined fastener, it consists of hidden button panel with 5 sewn buttonholes and 5 buttons and 1 buttonhole and 1 button that are visible from the garment’s right face. Front has set-in welt pockets. Back has center seam and vent. Sleeves are set-in and two-pieced. Turn-down collar has stitched collar band and strap fastener. Detachable warmth-keeping lining has no sleeves. Bias tapes are applied to edges of neckline, armholes and leading edges. Warmth-keeping lining is being fastened to the garment with 19 sewn buttonholes and 19 buttons. Length of lining is slightly lower the hips.

Eases added to a pattern:  Chest-line: 20 см, Waist-line: 32,5 см, Hips-line: 21 см, Shoulders: 11 см

Fabric suggestion: for this garment we recommend to use natural raincoat fabrics, synthetic or blended fabrics, fabrics may have different kinds of waterproofing coating. Use a wool flannel for a heat keeping lining. Use viscose as lining.

Main fabric, wide 140 cm: 44-48 size: 2,35-2,45м, 50-56 size: 2,60-2,70м.

Warmth-keeping lining fabric, wide 140 cm: 44-54 size: 0,95-1,05м, 56 size: 1,05-1,15м.

Lining fabric, wide 140 cm (for pocket): 44-56 size: 0,40м.


Pattern is given with seam allowances.

For sewing you will need the following equipment:

  • Multipurpose sewing machine;

  • An iron with or without steam;

  • Regular presser foot, hinged cording foot;

  • Wooden iron;

  • Ironing desk or console table;

  • Sleeve board;

  • Hand needle for basting;

  • Machine needles №80-90 for the main fabric;

  • Machine needles №80-90 for the lining;

  • Paper scissors;

  • Scissors for textile cutting.

The pattern in your order will be in two print options:

1. For printing on A4. You need to print the pattern on a regular printer on A4 sheets, then glue the sheets, cut the pattern and you can sew!

2. For printing on a large format plotter. Details of top for size 56 are located on  sheet 60x539 см.  Details of lining for size 56 are located on sheet  60x155 см.
