Questions

To set up printing of pattern on A4 sheets, use "Test Square No.2"! The test square is located on the first sheet in the pattern file.


Trench coat pattern. Double-breasted slim-fit trench coat with lining. Front has princess seams which start at shoulder seams and armholes. Model has stitched side part so there are no side seams. There are princess seams at the back as well also starting at shoulder seams and armhole. The shoulders are adorned with detachable tailored epaulettes. The front has welt pockets with topstitched ends and button closure. The storm flap on the left front piece is fastened with one button. The back has a deep yoke. The back centre seam has a vent. Napoleon collar with a cut out collar band. The collar band is fastened with a hook. The collar is also provided with a throat latch which is fastened with buttons and a buckle. The closure is in the centre, finished with facing, with two rows of buttons and buttonholes. Sleeves are set-in and two-pieced. Cuffs with strap and adjustable buckle. The belt is detachable, with a buckle, adorned with straps with D-rings and has a belt keeper.

Eases added to a pattern:  Bust-line: 10 cm; Waist-line: 14,2 cm; Hips-line: 9.2 cm, Shoulders: 7 cm.

Finished back length along the center back seam (without neckband and collar), cm38 size: 99,3-102,3; 40 size: 99,5-108,5; 42 size: 99,7-108,57; 44 size: 99,9-108,9; 46 size: 100,1-109,1; 48 size: 100,3-109,3; 50 size: 100,5-109,5; 52 size: 100,7-109,7; 54 size: 100,9-109,9.

Fabric suggestion: 

- Unbleached muslin for your test garment.
- Trench coat shell fabric. A waterproof fabric which is not
very thick and dense.
- Lining fabric - cotton.
- Lining fabric - viscose twill for sleeves.
- Lining fabric - cotton for pocket bags.

Amount of fabrics:

Main fabric, wide 140 cm: 3,2 м – 3,6 м

Lining fabric (cotton), wide 140 cm: 1,7 м – 2,1 м.

Lining fabric (front+back), wide 140 cm:  1,2 м – 1,8 м

Lining fabric (for sleeves), wide 140 cm:  0,7 м

Lining fabric (cotton forpocket bags), wide 140 cm: 0,3 м.

For sewing you will need the following equipment:

  • Buttonhole sewing machine or usual sewing machine with the buttonhole function;
  • Steam iron;
  • Ironing board;
  • Stitch piercer tool;
  • Special eyelet pliers or an eyelet press, if desired;
  • Wooden iron;
  • Ironing desk or console table.


The pattern in your order will be in two print options:

1. For printing on A4/Letter. You need to print the pattern on a regular printer on A4/Letter sheets, then glue the sheets, cut the pattern and you can sew!

A test square for checking the A4/Letter print scale is located on the first sheet of the pattern file and in additional file in your order.


2. For printing on a large format plotter. 

A test square for checking the plotter scale is located on the pattern sheet.
