How to sew a slanted welt pocket? This master-class will be useful if you sew jackets and other garments.
Mark the pocket entrance. Reinforce it with fusible on the wrong side, go beyond the pocket frame at 1 cm.
Iron the fusible on the welt, press it in half.
Iron the fusible on the underlay piece, finish the edges on the serger, stitch it to the pocket lining.
Place the welt and the lining of the underlay piece onto the pocket frame, strictly on frame lines, stitch leaving the seam allowances on the sides.
Stitch the other lining.
Cut the pocket entrance. Stop at 1 mm at the corners.
Turn the pocket to the other side.
Straighten the welt and the pocket.
Stitch the corners with the welt and the lining.
Stitch the linings together, finish the edges on the serger.
