DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE MODEL

A jacket of moderate volume, straight silhouette, length above the hip line, lined. Center front closure with 4 buttonholes and 4 buttons. No side seam; a side part is modeled. Front with a bust dart and patch pockets. The bust dart comes from the relief seam; depending on the fabric you choose and the garment size, the dart can be stitched or its intake can be shrunk out. The pockets are decorated with tape. Back with shoulder darts; depending on the fabric you choose, the dart can be stitched or its intake can be shrunk out. Set-in sleeve, three-seam, with upper, front and elbow seams, full length. The front neckline has a round shape.

MATERIALS FOR SEWING

MAIN FABRIC. For this model, we recommend using suit fabrics, thin coat fabrics, soft, pliable, amenable to wet-heat treatment, such as tweed. You can also use knitted fabrics of the suit-coat range, with low stretchability and low pliability, for example wool jersey. The materials can be made of natural, synthetic or blended fibers.

LINING FABRIC. As a lining, use materials that match the main fabric in drape and weight, made of natural, synthetic or blended fibers.

INTERFACING MATERIALS. For better quality of sewing, we recommend to use the interfacing material. For example, you may use 18 g/m2 density 150 cm, width woven interfacing.
The density of the interfacing material depends on the main fabric density.
