Vest, pattern №954

Vest pattern. It’s a men’s straight silhouette hip length standard fit insulated and lined vest. Center front zipper closure comes with an inner windproof placket. Front features welt zipper pockets and a double welt zipper pocket on the left side of front. Neckline is finished with a collar stand. Armholes of back and front feature elastic tapes.

*Constructive ease (Ec) – an integral part of a constructive segment that increases or decreases the size attribute, takes into account the thickness of the garment package, the freedom between the body and clothing, fashion direction, silhouette, physiological, hygienic and dynamic requirements, and is always included in the size parameters of the finished garment. Ec = Ep + Ef; *Ease of package (Ep) – this value takes into account the thickness of all layers of clothes material worn on a person, which consists of ease for inner package, taking into account the underlying layers at designing clothes, and an ease of the outer package (package for designing garment). *Ease of freedom (Ef) – ease that is necessary to ensure a person’s freedom of breathing and movement, creating an air layer that regulates heat exchange and skin respiration under clothing.

Fabric suggestion: We recommend to use for this model soft average density thin rain wear and coat fabrics; rain wear fabrics with membrane; rain wear and coat fabrics with water proofing. Also you can use ready quilted rain wear fabric. For membrane fabrics you can use a lining cloth from synthetic fibers, for rain wear and coat fabrics you can use a lining cloth from synthetic, blended or natural fibers. To insulate the garment we recommend to use new generation synthetic materials with windproof layers on its both sides, for example it can be isosoft 34 150 g/m2 or hollofan 200 g/m2. For our garment we used two layers of insulation material. Upper one is isosoft, under one is hollofan.

Amount of lining fabric, wide 140 cm: 44-56 size: 0,65-0,75 m, 58-62 size: 0,80-0,90 m.

Amount of insulation material wide 140 cm (1st layer, ISOSOFT 150 g/m2): 44-46 size: 0,95-1,05 m, 48 size: 1,00-1,15 m, 50-52 size: 1,10-1,20 m,  54-58 size: 1,25-1,35 m, 60 size: 1,25-1,40 m, 62 size: 1,30-1,40 m.

Amount of insulation material wide 140 cm (2nd layer, Hollofan 200 g/m2): 44-46 size: 0,95-1,05 m, 48 size: 1,00-1,15 m, 50-52 size: 1,10-1,20 m,  54-58 size: 1,25-1,35 m, 60 size: 1,25-1,40 m, 62 size: 1,30-1,40 m.

Amount of interfacing (density 34 g/ m2; width 150 cm): 44 size: 1,20-1,30 m, 46 size: 1,25-1,30 m, 48 size: 1,25-1,35 m, 50-54 size: 1,30-1,40 m,  56 size: 1,35-1,40 m, 58-60 size: 1,35-1,45 m, 62 size: 1,40-1,55 m.

Amount of reps tape with the length of 1-1,5 сm: 0,75-0,80

Center open-end zipper: 69,5-75,5

Garment accessories: 1.Center open-end zipper (metal or plastic) – 1 шт. 2. Closed-end zipper (metal or plastic), long 20 cm - 3 pcs. (for pocket). 3. Elastic tape – 1,6 m. 4. Reps tape with the length of 1-1,5 сm – 0,8 m.

Model is wearing a size 52, height 182-188. Model parameters: Bust-line: 104 см, waist-line: 80 см, Hips: 97 см.

For sewing you will need the following equipment: 

  Multipurpose sewing machine; An iron with or without steam; Two-legged machine foot, walking or Teflon machine foot (depending on the raincoat fabric type), one-legged machine foot; Wooden iron; Ironing desk or console table; Hand needle for basting; Machine needles MICROTEX (extra sharp for raincoat fabrics) №70-80 for the main fabric; Machine needles №70 for the lining; Paper scissors; Scissors for textile cutting.

The pattern in your order will be in two print options:

1. For printing on A4/Letter. You need to print the pattern on a regular printer on A4/Letter sheets, then glue the sheets, cut the pattern and you can sew! A test square for checking the A4/Letter print scale is located on the first sheet of the pattern file.
