Coat, pattern №739

Use the Test Square to adjust the print scale! A test square for checking the A4 scale is located on the first sheet of the A4 pattern file. The test square for checking the plotter scale is located on the pattern sheet in the plotter file.

Coat pattern.  Straight coat, length below the knee, with a flyaway lining. Coat is double-breasted with 2 sewn buttonholes and 2 buttons; 2 decorative buttons and 1 sewn buttonhole on the left leading edge that match to a topside decorative one. There are welt pockets with a welt of pocket and one facing. Front has bust darts under the lapel (40% of the dart), the rest of the dart is modeled into the armhole (area of ease), into the side seam (area of ease) and down to the extension. Back with a yoke and a bow pleat in the center and one-sided pleats.

Coat has set-in long two-piece sleeves. Shawl collar. The garment is complemented by a belt with a buckle. There are shoulder pads in the shoulder area.

General increases, laid in the pattern: Bust-line: 13 см, Hips-line: 14 см, Shoulders: 8,5 см

Finished back length along the center back seam, см.: 38 size: 108,6-118,6, 40 size: 108,8-118,8, 42 size: 109,0-119,0, 44 size: 109,2-119,2, 46 size: 109,4-119,4, 48 size: 1109,6-119,6,  50 size: 109,8-119,8, 52 size: 110,0-120,0.

Fabric suggestion: we recommend to use coat fabrics of medium thickness and density, pliable, well amenable to wet pressing. In terms of material, it can be wool, as well as fabrics made of artificial, synthetic or blended fibers.

Main fabric, wide 140 cm: 38,40,42 size:  2,90-3,10м., 44 size: 3,25-3,40м., 46,48 size: 3,30-3,45м., 50,52 size: 3,35-3,50 м.

Lining fabric, wide 140 cm: 38,40 size: 2,00-2,10 м., 42-52 size: 2,05-2,20 м.

Pattern is given with seam allowances.

For sewing you will need the following equipment:

• Multipurpose sewing machine;
• An iron with or without steam;
• Regular presser foot;
• Hinged cording foot;
• Wooden iron;
• Ironing desk or console table;
• Hand needle for basting;
• Machine needles №90 for the main fabric;
• Machine needles №70 for the lining;
• Paper scissors;
• Scissors for textile cutting.

The pattern in your order will be in two print options:

1. For printing on A4. You need to print the pattern on a regular printer on A4 sheets, then glue the sheets, cut the pattern and you can sew!

2. For printing on a large format plotter. Details of top for size 52 are located on  2 sheets: CHAST1= 60x324 см, CHAST2 = 60 x 151 см.  Details of lining for size 52 are located on sheet  60x246 см.
