Dress, pattern №674

To set up printing of pattern N674 on A4 sheets, use "Test Square No.2"! The test square is located on the first sheet in the pattern file.

Dress pattern. It’s petite size semi close-fitting silhouette dress with shoulder straps. Its length is lower than knee line (till the middle of shank). It’s bias-cut dress. Neck of front and back has deep smooth figured neckline. Upper hems and hems of armholes of front and back have facings. 

There are special aspects in bias-cut garments cutting: 

1. Bias-cut detail is getting longer because of stretching so its width is getting smaller. 

2. Bias-cut details are more yielding than those which are cut along grain line. 

3. Detail is being cut with 45 degrees angle and that’s why detail’s transverse side is getting stretched more than its grain line side. 

4. Bias-cut detail after getting stretched cannot turn back to its original shape.

General increases, laid in the pattern: Bust-line: 0 см., Waist:  7 см., Hips: minus (-7,5 см) + model widening/

Since bias-cut garment stretches much in length additions in hips area equal 0.

Finished back length along the center back seam, в см.: 38 size: 89,6-96,8, 40 size: 89,8-97,0, 42 size: 90,0- 97,2, 44 size: 90,2-97,4, 46 size: 90,4- 97,6, 48 size: 90,6-97,8,  50 size: 90,8-98,0, 52 size: 91,0- 98,2

Fabric suggestion: for such dress model we would recommend to use yielding medium density non stretching dress fabrics well arranged in folds: silk, crepe, charmeuse, georgette, crepe de Chine and atlas. Fabric may consist of silk, rayon, artificial filaments, synthetic yarns or blended fibers.

Amount of main fabric, 140 sm wide: 38 size: 1,45-1,55 м., 40 size: 1,55-1,65 м.,  42 size: 1,65-1,75 м., 44 size: 1,75-1,85 м., 46 size: 1,85-1,95 м., 48 size: 1,90-2,00 м., 50,52 size: 2,00-2,10 м.

Pattern is given with seam allowances.

1. For printing on A4. It is necessary to print out a pattern on an ordinary printer on A4 sheets, then glue the sheets, cut out the pattern and you can sew!

2. For printing on a  large-scale plotter. The patterns size 52 are located on sheet measuring 60*172 см.
