Skirt pattern. A straight skirt of small volume, lined, hits mid-thigh and has a stitched belt. There is a pair of darts on the front part. There are two darts and a centre seam on the back part. There is a zip in the centre seam of the back part and a hook fastener.

Eases added to a pattern, cm:

Waist-line– 2 cm;

Hips-line (in the sizes 38 – 50) – 3 cm; (in the sizes 52 - 56) – 3,5 cm.

Fabric suggestion:

Main fabric. We recommend using suiting fabrics, thin coat fabrics, soft, fluid, that are easy to steam-press, like tweed. You can also use knit fabrics, suiting with a slight stretchability and low density, for example, wool jersey. The fabrics can be made of natural, synthetic or mixed fibres.

Lining material. Choose the lining fabric that suits the characteristics and the density of the main fabric, made os natural, synthetic or mixes fibres.

Interfacing materials. For better quality of sewing, we recommend to use the interfacing material. For example, you may use 18 g/m2 density 150 cm, width woven interfacing. The density of the interfacing material depends on the main fabric density.

Amount of Fabrics (in metres):

Option 1. Garment with the waistband made from the main fabric, The lining is made of the lining fabric

Main fabric, wide 140 cm: size 38: 0,55, size 40: 0,55-0,60, size 42-44: 0,60-0,65, size 46-50: 0,65, size 52-58: 0,65-0,70, size 60: 0,70, size 62: 1,00-1,05.

Lining fabric, wide 140 cm: size 38: 0,50, size 40: 0,50-0,55, size 42-48: 0,55-0,60, size 50: 0,60, size 52-58: 0,60-0,65, size 60: 0,80-0,85, size 62: 0,90-0,95.

Option 2. Garment with the waistband and the lining made from the main fabric

Main fabric, wide 140 cm: size 38: 0,55, size 40: 0,60, size 42-44: 0,60-0,65, size 46: 0,65, size 48: 0,65-0,70, size 50-54: 0,70-0,75, size 56-58: 0,75, size 60: 0,75-0,80, size 62: 1,00-1,05.

Lining fabric, wide 140 cm: size 38: 0,50, size 40-58: 0,50-0,55, size 60: 0,80-0,85, size 62: 0,90-0,95.

For both options:

Interfacing (density 18 g/m2; width 150 cm): sizes 38-62: 0,55.

Fusible reinforced bias tape: size 38: 0,75, size 40: 0,80, size 42: 0,85, size 44-46: 0,90, size 48: 0,95, size 50: 1,00, size 52: 1,05, size 54: 1,10, size 56: 1,15, size 58: 1,20, size 60: 1,25, size 62: 1,30.

Fusible on grain tape: sizes 38-62: 0,25.

Attention! Given exact fabric consumption can be used only when pattern details are placed on a fabric sheet close to each other. All pattern details should be arranged on an opened fabric sheet strictly on grain in one direction, each pattern piece must be cut out only once.

Garment accessories

1. 15 cm spiral zipper – 1 pcs.

2. Sew-on hook – 1 pcs.

Pattern is given with seam allowances.

Degree of difficulty - "Beginner”.

The photos shows a skirt sewed at the GRASSER for pattern №996.

Model is wearing a size 44. Model parameters: Bust-line: 84 cm, Waist-line: 61,5 cm, Hips: 94 cm, Height: 177 cm.

For sewing you will need the following equipment:

1. Multipurpose sewing machine;
2. 3 thread overlock machine;
3. An iron with or without steam;
4. Regular presser foot;
5. Hinged cording foot;
6. Wooden iron;
7. Ironing desk or console table;
8. Hand needle for basting;
9. Machine needles №80 for the main fabric;
10. Machine needles №70 for the lining;
11. Paper scissors;
12. Scissors for textile cutting.

The pattern in your order will be in two print options:

1. For printing on A4/Letter. You need to print the pattern on a regular printer on A4/Letter sheets, then glue the sheets, cut the pattern and you can sew!

A test square for checking the A4/Letter print scale is located on the first sheet of the pattern file.

2. For printing on a large format plotter.
